#DiabetesChat – Peer Support Event
This week celebrates our third birthday of #DiabetesChat. On the 7th February 2022 #DiabetesChat was founded and we have hosted 139 community chat nights to date;; from our guest speaker chats, research events, open forum chats, 24 hour chat for WDD 2022, 6 hour WDD 2023 conference and much more. In 2023 #DiabetesChat won the peer support Quality in Care award.In tonight’s #DiabetesChat we will be celebrating our birthday by highlighting the important peer support is and hearing from a range of different peer support groups and communities. We are joined by the podding peer support group, a local in person peer support group in London, the Derby Facebook peer support group, GBDoc and the Sheffield DUK & Type 1 peer support groups.
